Breaking News: Hunter Biden Report to Be Released by Special Counsel Weiss!

Special Counsel David Weiss is set to release his final report on Hunter Biden’s investigation as soon as next week, according to Fox News. This investigation, which has been ongoing for several years, centers on the actions of Hunter Biden, the son of President Joe Biden.

Hunter Biden was found guilty of three felony firearm offenses as part of this investigation. He also faced federal tax charges related to his failure to pay over $1.4 million in taxes.

Ahead of his trial, Biden made an unexpected move by pleading guilty. These charges carried potential sentences of up to 17 years in prison. However, President Joe Biden pardoned his son on all charges in December, just before Hunter’s scheduled sentencing.

The investigation into Hunter Biden began back in November 2018. It wasn’t until 2023 that the case gained more public attention when two IRS whistleblowers, Gary Shapley, and Joseph Ziegler, claimed political influence had played a role in the investigation.

They argued that political factors had affected the prosecutorial decisions of the case. These whistleblowers also stated that David Weiss, the Trump-appointed U.S. Attorney for Delaware, had requested to be named as Special Counsel.

Following their testimony, Attorney General Merrick Garland appointed Weiss as Special Counsel to continue the investigation into Hunter Biden and bring federal charges against him in two separate areas: Delaware and California.

Under Justice Department guidelines, Special Counsel Weiss is required to send his final report to Attorney General Merrick Garland. Garland has promised to release as much information as possible to the public. As of now, neither the Department of Justice nor Weiss’ office has commented further on the matter.

Meanwhile, President Joe Biden’s decision to pardon his son came after months of him stating that he would not interfere with the Justice Department’s decisions. In December, however, Biden granted a blanket pardon for any offenses Hunter Biden may have committed between January 1, 2014, and December 1, 2024.

President Biden explained his decision by saying, “From the day I took office, I said I would not interfere with the Justice Department’s decision-making, and I kept my word even as I have watched my son being selectively and unfairly prosecuted.” He went on to defend his son’s actions, mentioning Hunter’s recovery from addiction and the pressure he had faced.

“There has been an effort to break Hunter,” Biden continued, “who has been five and a half years sober, even in the face of unrelenting attacks and selective prosecution. In trying to break Hunter, they’ve tried to break me — and there’s no reason to believe it will stop here. Enough is enough.”

The president added, “I hope Americans will understand why a father and a president would come to this decision.”

The release of the final report by Special Counsel Weiss will provide further insights into this long-running investigation and how it may affect the future of Hunter Biden and his father’s administration.
