MENOMINEE, Mich. (WBAY) — The Menominee City Police Department, in coordination with multiple agencies, has intensified its search efforts for a missing woman in the bay of Green Bay.
According to an update shared on social media, the investigation has led officers to focus their search near the Menominee North Pier Lighthouse.
The area surrounding Harbor Drive has been closed to the public until further notice to assist in the search operations.
Details on the Missing Person
Lisa Janine Pipp, 42, was last seen near the lighthouse after reportedly exiting a vehicle. She left behind her jacket and phone, raising concerns for her safety as temperatures dipped below zero on Wednesday night.
Pipp is described as white, 5’2” tall, weighing approximately 250 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. At the time of her disappearance, she was reportedly wearing a purple shirt and blue jeans.
Authorities are urgently seeking to establish contact with Pipp to ensure her well-being.
Search Operations in Progress
The search effort, which now includes specialized teams and equipment from several supporting agencies, is focused on the waters and surrounding areas of the bay.
The harsh weather conditions and freezing temperatures have added urgency to the operation.
