Deputies in OKALOOSA County, Florida, detained a 27-year-old man on suspicion of hurting a nurse last week with a tire iron

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office said that at around three in the morning on Thursday, July 6, Raul Milla Jr. of Fort Walton Beach reportedly “blitz-attacked” a nurse using a tire iron who was taking a break at Hospital Corporation of America Fort Walton—Destin Hospital on Mar Walt Drive.

According to reports, Milla used a tire iron to strike the victim five or six times in the head, but the nurse was able to repel Milla with tire iron. She experienced swelling and severe lacerations caused by using tire iron, according to the sheriff’s office.

Deputies discovered Milla riding a bike close to the scene after the nurse, according to reports, was able to describe him. The Sheriff’s Office observed a fresh bloodstain on his clothing and found a bloody tire iron in his bicycle basket.
