Texas Man was Arrested After Nearly 20 Years
A Texas man identified as Anthony Rae, 49 years old, was arrested after he escaped from the charges filed against him. He has been on the run for 20 years after he was charged with multiple counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child and indecency with a child.
In a published report in FOX News, he was arrested in the city of Val Alstyne in 2003 and posted a bond in 2004. After this, the Texas man never showed up to his court trials and it was later found that he went on the run and escaped. He went missing for nearly 20 years, according to the authorities.
Grayson County District Attorney Brett Smith said, “I’m standing here with the U.S. Marshals from the Eastern District of Texas and the Special Agent in Charge of Homeland Security, there is no length we will not go to to make sure that people are returned to face justice if you commit an act of violence against a child in Grayson County.”
